“Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever!”

Psalm 107:1

With Thanksgiving coming up later this week, I couldn’t help but think of being thankful.

As Christians, we are called to be thankful. Many times in Scripture we read about the importance of being thankful, and what comes with thankfulness.

Maybe you have had a rough year, or you have been going through a time of different struggles all baring down on you at the same time. I would just like to point out that the verse above does not say, “give thanks to the Lord when things are going great.” It is saying that in all things, regardless of how bad, we have something to be thankful for.

Jesus dying on the cross for us while we were in our darkness times, giving up His life so that we may have life.

So, though it may be hard, and things might not be looking so good, remember what Christ has done for you, and remember all the small things that He has blessed you with that you may have become accustom to overlooking, because those are the small ways that God reminds you that He is still looking out for you, and that He has a plan for everything that is happening.

I pray you believe that and bank on that, whether times are good, or times are bad, that God has a plan in it all, and that there is always something to be thankful for.
